As always been busy. Cutting huge trees, working off and on for a fella down the way, spending as much time with my daughter who now is in her last two years of college,Trying to spend time with the grandchildren who are all fine and dandy, spending time with sis who just had both eyes done that had cataract surgery while keeping my home in shape. I have 12 pheasants so far from Oct,24th dealing with rain Hail and snow. The snow is good it's the rain I despise...I'll try to catch up but no promise here just thinking of all of you.....

Yep that is the same sweater I wear every day but it also gets washed once I get back from hunting way too many ticks at this new place I hunt. Thank God for tick spray...lol

Today was my wedding anniversary 28 years with this one..lol she is a keeper. She and I went hunting this morning but those pictures will have to wait until she gets them to my computer I shot two and missed one this morning...

This fishing picture was taken the day before pheasant started they were running all over the place as I caught a few bass and the Mrs. caught a few late season trout. I was getting the jitters seeing them all over the lake and as we left they would not get out from under my front bumper. The picture on the truck bed was from last week as my sons and my one nephew bagged a total of 8............. 2 each by 9:06 AM

You know those Pheasants are teasing you, right. They purposely are holding you up and saying look at me. That is some prime hunting fields it looks like Earl.

A few more pictures. An a few videos. The hen you see up above Tara was petting it,I don't know what happened but one eye was filled with blood and it wasn't from any of the flushes. The one video was a little late as the bird flushed in the wood line and tried to make it past the trees. After that one I was done but she did manage to get one on the flush and as I said we are only allowed two so I did not shoot that one which would have been a keeper.

I'll have to figure out how to post the 2 videos ones an m4v and the other is MOV......

I haven't been privileged to hunt pheasants since I left my boyhood home in Ohio. I have been able to eat them on a few occasions since then. I scored one a while back and even my little girls devoured it. Congratulations on a successful hunt Earl.

A few more makes 18 total so far. I'll never match last years total of 48 as the old hips are acting up after miles of walking. There is just no short trip into the wood anywhere that is easy..lol
I hunt now in Butler,PA around the state game lands and the travel time is close but as I said even those places now are all good hikes up and down until you arrive in the fields.
Thanksgiving is gonna be just the three of us,no visits to the sons house or the nephews house this year. But I had handed them enough birds to supplement each for a good side dish.

Hi Earl that looks fantastic ! What a beautiful time to be out there. Looks like a wonderful bunch of birds you got and a great time for you both. Thanks for posting the pictures and video (reminds me of home). I'm here in TX but will probably be up there the week after Thanksgiving for deer season (making the trip through FL with Len and Izumi to spend a big Thanksgiving with dad whose doing OK down in FL). Also gotta do some reloading and hope to see ya up there.

We had dinner with dad's sister and husband at the Log Cabin last time through (it was a good visit). Great place really enjoyed it. We also stop at Roxys (a truck stop kinda diner on 422) sometimes for a quick breakfast kinda thing (it was packed last time there).

Enjoy the good times the pheasants look great (I'm looking forward to doing some walking around up there; TX is OK but where we live here is pretty flat and not nearly as scenic and beautiful as up there). God bless you all and take good care of yourselves.

Thanks TheWall and Thanks For Your Service. I see a good many years stacked up which says it all for me.
I really like Pennsylvania buddy as I can never spend enough time seeing it all but I sure do try. The small mountains East of me will have to be visited again this year for some hunts but I think I am going to wait for the snow to tumble our way before I make that trip. It's around 1 hour 30 minutes from me but It only ranges around 3,200 FASL..........Feet above sea level Mount Davis . It's called the Allegheny Ridges Part of The Appalachian Mountains South West of Somerset,PA about 15 miles towards the Maryland border. Beautiful Country!.....
