A sweet little 5 shot pocket pistol with shrouded hammer and wrap around rubber grips, the Taurus 2" .357 revolver is an good lefty or pocket pistol. While recoil is controllable I found I had to "get on top" of the little beast to keep my sight picture when double-tapping steel plates at 30 yards.

Perfect for up close and personal type situations, the serrated hammer offers enough leverage to be easily cocked one handed for more precise work at a distance. The action is very smooth right out of the box and I found the hammer easy to stage and decock by trigger alone making shooting somewhat more precise than I had anticipated for such a small revolver.

Constructed of steel, it is certainly no AirWeight but doesn't exactly drag your pants down when riding around in a front pocket. The weight helps make the recoil from the .357 rounds more manageable.

I enjoyed running a few rounds through the beast, and with low recoil HydraShok .38 specials I am sure it would a lot more user-friendly. I don't think I would want to be shooting this one all day with magnum loads.

Not exactly my kind of revolver--but certainly a well made and sturdy piece of equipment.:right:

Mine is the stainless without the shrouded hammer. I find it extremely controllable even with some fairly heavy homeloads in .357
Its my pistol of choice to carry because of size and weight.
I can easily shoot 100 rounds in an afternoon without even knowing it.

i want one of those snubby's so bad. due to the prohibited status on them in canada it looks like i will never own one. here's to hoping that the new government trims a little fat off of those laws.

i have one of the 605s (hammerless stainless snubby) and the thing is great. I can make hits out to 75 yds on a silhouette on a good day. And anything inside of 40 is in trouble on a bad day. I only have it as a backup, but it does that job very well.
