Gentlemen,
The top photo shows how Targeting was done on the M1 Garand. The shooter is standing and looking down his spotting scope. The rifle is in a rest. The second photo shows us how the sights were setup using a Target Machine. Notice the wood on the second photo Garand.
Some of these have been posted before, some have not.


Warning, before you go to my sites lower your volume as the opening page contains a sound file which has a loading and firing of the M1 Garand. So if you're at work or home it may be wise to check your volume control.

Ed,

Is it my eyes or is there a "not normal" kind of a butplate on the rifle??
It also seems to be a non walnut stock to me but I'm not the expert here!

They look ok to me but remember these are old photo's I am trying to restore.
