Lubbock courtroom could be the location of a major change in national gun laws. James A. D'Cruz, 18, has asked a federal judge to declare unconstitutional the ban on handgun sales by federally licensed dealers to 18 20 year olds. The suit against the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives was filed just days after D'Cruz visited Sharp Shooters, Inc. and asked if he was legally able to buy a handgun. The employee told him he couldn't.

Personally, at 18, I think you should be able to get a gun, be it rifle or pistol. I mean, you can join the military at 18 and be handed one of each and sent to go use them on human beings currently in Iraq and Afghanistan.

So why shouldn't you then be able to buy and own and shoot one at paper targets or defend yourself should the need arise in your own country where the 2nd Amendment in the U.S. Constitution says you can.

We've just let the Federal Government make changes to it, amend it and dictate through those changes, or if you prefer, amendments, at what age and other limitations and restrictions be them at the Federal level or the state level.
