Gentlemen,

During May of 1941 Ordnance "least the Caliber .30 Rifle plant which was installed at Rock Island Arsenal to the Remington Company" However, there was a major problem with this project for the Model 1903's. Parts needed to make the Model 1903's were not issued to Reminton because Rock Island needed them. Can you name the missing parts and what did Rock Island need them for ???

This might be a hard one, but not to the 1903 guys.
Remember, WW 2 had started in Europe on Sept. 1 1939.

Have fun with this one.

My sites with data and books and CD for sale. These are commercial sites. They also have Ordnance Data files posted there.

Gentlemen,
Machinery needed to make barrels. Rock Island needed it to make machine gun barrels.
Thanks again

gunssb...my first guess was completely off the wall so I edited it out. But in case you're interested...I guessed that it was the butt plate for the butt stock. But I knew Eclansy was serious so I didn't want to insult him with that sort of answer. :D
