So just this week received a new to me FEG P9 from Classic Firearms..gritty trigger pull as is frequently reported...my question...would removal of the Magazine Safety in itself help with trigger pull or is a full blown trigger job in order? How hard is it to remove the Mag Safety? (I'm no gunsmith...field strip ok, beyond that...not so much)

Man I don't know about the trigger/mag safety issue either. Hopefully some one will weigh in that knows about those kind of issues. I've thought about buying one of those myself.

Decent surplus pistol. Need to pick up a firing pin spring...noticed when I took it out to clean the FP chamber, the spring was broke, about 2 coils worth had separated from the rest of it. Seems all original..course from what I hear from those that know, difficult at best to ascertain specific date of manufacture...I'm guessing mid 70s?
