I just picked up a Marlin 336 in .32 Special, vintage 1950, and the previous owner said it had only about 5 rounds put through it. Came with a Weaver K2,5 with post (sniper) reticle. It looks to be pristine, blueing is near perfect, almost as if it just came off the shelf at Ganders. Anyone know anything about this rifle or the caliber? I've read that the balistics on the .32 Special are better than the .30-30, but the cartridge just never got accepted. Any thoughts or comments?

    Thanks,
