    I used to live just an hour away from Mt. St. Helens. We used to go swimming in Spirit Lake, and hiking up the mountain, picking blueberries. It was quite a shock to have it erupt. I remember we were grounded from flying jets for two weeks, in Arkansas, as the ash cloud drifted across the U.S.
