mountain camando rifle?

    Anyone been watching the world news on the British mountain camandos in Afgan. What type of bullpup stocked rifle do they carry? Some type of HK?

    At one time it was called the SA80. I think it is now called the L85.

    It's a 5.56mm rifle that uses M16 mags. I know it's not much info, but I hope it helps.

  3. i have a book from the early 90's that calls it the SA80 and was chambered in an experimental 4.85mm round. but that's before we know what we do now

    I think it's based on the AR-180 action. If you heard HK mentioned, it's probably because Britain hired them to make a bunch of improvements to their rifles.
