My father was a God fearing, pro life, gun toting, hard working Democrat.
The Democratic party ,at least in my area, stood for the rights of the working man plus all of the above. Plus they were not against giving reasonable aid to those in need without going overboard.
I voted Democrat till the first term of Bill Clinton. Then it seamed something that I can not Quite put my finger happened. It seams they have turned into something else. Was totally disenchanted Stopped voting period.
Seeing these idiots totally disrespect, law order and elected government. I have made a choice.Registered to vote this year and thinking I must vote all red or our country is done for.
Feel free to share any thought on this.

My Granny and Grandaddy and the whole German chunk of our family up north were Democrats. People joked that Granny would probably vote for Satan if he was a Democrat.

She died a couple of years before Obama came around, and I jokingly asked some of the family what they thought she would think of people like Obama and Hillary.

The consensus was that Satan might win the vote, but Obama and Hillary didn't have a chance.

The Ministry of Democratic Party Propaganda likes to go on and on about how Saint Ronnie the Actor made a dangerous alliance with the Religious Right, which has according to them since exerted an excessive amount of control on both the GOP and the federal gummint. Somehow the lamestream media never discusses the shift to the lefthand side of the political spectrum and the Jackass Partei's pandering to the useless mouths of the urban poor who do not have the concept of "work" in their mental makeup. The media does not talk about how the only value the urban poor have to the Democrats is their votes and the ability to bring them out to show on the news as "protestors" and as mobs when law enforcement or the local conservatives are trying to do something.

The Democratic Partei has adopted the unspoken but very real ideology that only Democrats above a certain level in the Partei are intelligent. The so-called intelligent Democrats see themselves as Ubermenschen destined by God to save the untermenschen (everyone else and particularly the urban poor who have never been honestly employed in their lives) because they are not capable of taking care of themselves at any time. Their program is aimed at keeping the sheeple happy and at least somewhat contented, so they will continue to vote for the Ubermenschen who hold them in such disdain. Their attitude is that they are the adults and everyone else is a child who should be seen and not heard, and do what it's told to do. But above all, the untermenschen should leave the thinking to the adults and not trouble their heads about things they can't possibly understand. (Our female members will doubtless recognize that patronizing attitude as The Way Things Were before the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s. I suspect it makes them grit their teeth quite as much as the behavior of Democrats in general and the Democratic Partei's leaders makes me grit mine.)

What the Jackass Partei is doing is every bit as evil as what the Bolsheviks and the Nazis did to Russia and Germany. This is why we need to maintain our alertness and do whatever we can to keep the scum from depriving us of our civil rights. This means getting out and voting in every election for which you are eligible to vote, from the school referendums to Presidential elections. It means calling your elected officials even when you loathe them (I'm saddled with a Dumbocrat as my Representative, and two more as the alleged Senators from my state; as I have said before, as far as those two swine fornicators are concerned, "New York State" consists of Westchester, Rockland, New York, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties, and the rest of the land comprising the Empire State is not their problem) and telling them how you want them to vote. Even if the worthless swine ignore you, call them and make sure the idiots understand they are being watched.

Once you understand that our representative republic's government is not a spectator sport, many things fall into place. You have to keep after them, even if what you would like to do is drop them through the gallows floor. Ben Franklin said it best when he told the lady who asked him what kind of government the Constitutional Convention had given the United States that we have "A republic -- if you can keep it." We won't keep it if we don't continue to slap the Jackasses down at every opportunity, and that means getting involved. Do so.

MM: My Dad was a welder most all his adult life, and therefore, a Dem. His advice to all of his children was...."You decide, but look into it first, you don't know the future, so use your head".
During my HS and College years, I was fairly ambivalent. I did vote and I did watch, particularly the national climate of politics. I felt by mid 90's that the dem party was NOT the party of our fathers, nor the party of many democrats. I now see that they they follow the European socialist/communist propaganda, which isn't very hard to figure out.
Our government WAS NOT designed to support us from cradle to grave....it can't. But this is lost on the illogical thinking of those who hate any form of capitalism. (although they wish to be wealthy themselves) Our form of government WAS originally established to protect the citizens FROM the government. We need to go back to that.

Last great Democrat was JFK. A WW2 Vet war hero, gun owner, NRA member. Last Democrat any of our family ever voted for. We were all blue collar, mostly all union, but weren't like the stupid sheep that voted the way they were told to.

  9. I've always voted Republican or Independent, but the truth is I don't like either party and most of the candidates. So it's more a matter of voting for the lesser of two evils most of the time than voting for someone that I actually like.

The Founding Fathers once again had it right... Having Political Parties is terrible for a democratic republic. They create divides in the people and in congress with their platforms (when the truth is for many, myself included there are parts of both party's platform that I don't agree with) and also create "Career Politicians" which the Founding Fathers also were against.. Running for a political office is supposed to be something you do for your country for a relatively short period of time after which you go back to your original career.

Every time I read more about the constitution and the framework our Founding Fathers came up with for this Democratic Republic I never cease to be amazed that every problem and issue we have encountered to date these folks not only foresaw, but put measures in place to counter them, and we wouldn't have the situations we now face if the Career Politicrats didn't find ways to bypass and circumvent the Constitution... and they came up with all of this while writing with feathers by the light of an oil lamp!

Got a call from a sales rep for Phillip Dean. He's running for the governor of the state of Tennessee.
I was told how he was the mayor of Nashville, and lowered taxes. I asked what party line. He says democrat. I says, OK then explain me this. Why does Tennessee have a 9.75% sales tax? Did you know that is higher than California with a 9.25% sales tax?
I was fed a line about how California has a state income tax, and that Tennessee can not constitutionally have a state income tax. With that comment, I hit him with the state income tax. Telling him that if it was worked right and you file taxes when your federal income tax is due, I walked away every year with 600 to 800 bucks in my pocket at the end of the year.
I then said, what about Florida? They don't have state income tax, and their sales tax is only like 6 to 7 percent?

And he wanted to continue to tell me how good this guy was. I said I am on disability and I like to go fishing. I asked him, do you know the requirements to get a disabled fishing license? He did not. So I told him. To get a disabled fishing license you have to be blind, in a wheel chair, mentally handicapped, or a veteran (which I understand the veteran part). I said I have not been fishing since they raised the price of the fishing license. I said I can get a non resident fishing license in Alabama for the same cost as a Tennessee resident license. I'm on a fixed income and can't even go fishing.

I said and lets talk about utilities. Why is gas and electric so high in Tennessee? It's hard for people to afford their heat in the winter. Much less the summer when it's hot.

What is this guy going to do to fix or answer some questions about these issues?
He says I'll be sure to bring these questions up to him.

I says all they care about is your vote. Once they get that they don't care about the people. All they care about is their pocket book. Just look at the last governor.

So I'm not holding my breath for any answers.

The clincher for me was watching the Judge Kavanaugh hearing fiasco. Immediately got online and registered to vote.
    FYI
Tomorrow is the last day to register for the upcoming election in Ohio.

The communists took over the Democrat party several decades ago, and they have been working on the Republican party, steadily, ever since.

All in accordance with point number 15 of their 45 point plan recorded in Congress in 1963.

My parents were Demarcates. And if they could see the Demoncrates of today they would disown them.:( I have NEVER been affiliated with ANY party, nor do I intend to. Contrary to what the media says, I do not belong to the Independent Party, I am UNAFFILIATED!!:usa2: What I see is the Demoncrates are EVIL and corrupt, and the Republicans are stupid wimps that are corrupt.:( But since we only have the two choices I vote 90+ Republican.

Folks here are pretty wise about sorting things out. Over the years I have heard many people say: "I don't like any of them", and I understand the frustration. It can be the lesser of two unlikable choices. However, I think sitting it out is double dumb. If we all waited until a candidate came along that we 100% fully agreed with his every move....we would have roughly two million candidates on the ballot. !!!! Rat roh !

This may or may not sound odd my parents were pretty much democrate voters until Carter the Wuss made his string of blunders but IiRC they did vote for Eisenhower.
Growing up and being an early student of military history Jimmy Carter's foreign policy simply disgusted me. And all the increasing pro Soviet BS in general by the whole party.
We here in ....no not me I pretty much voted straight Republican.....but many here were fooled by senators Dale Bumpers and David Pryor both would BS the voters in the state by masquerading as good ole boy southern democrates but would vote lockstep liberal when in Washington DC. Then when both the internet and talk radio made its way into the state it started looking bad for them.
Both started to get openly arrogant and pissy when their voting records were brought up and out.
That was pretty much the decline of their political careers. And it's been a slow downhill slide for them here despite voter fraud.

Folks do not seem to realize that what USED to be the Democrat Party, is NOW the Communist Party. There is NOTHING "democratic" about it, anymore.
