nice! a cz52! i want one! have you shot it yet?! howd it do?
Well since I just got it today, no I haven't shot it. Too busy cleaning and lubing it. Plan to take care of that this Friday. Also need to fire my Steyr M95 for the first time.
Be sure to use a good shoulder pad for that m95, they have a pretty brutal kick.
My Mosins already toughened the old shoulder!
Range Report !!!!!
Range report is...................of course it is raining.:sad2:
Might clear up by this afternoon.
I want to shoot two new guns!
Range report is the M95 is fine, the CZ wasn't. I'm hoping it was the old milsurp ammo. I now have two other brands of milsurp and 100 homemade ones. I also used an Outers Foul Out III to totally clean the barrel of lead and copper.
Well, let us know how it does.
My CZ52 has a nasty trigger slap.. I'm looking forward to seeing if your's does the same..
I bought a 9mm barrel for mine (just cuz) but I haven't shot it yet..
Define trigger slap so I know what to look for.
Trigger slap is when you fire the gun and the trigger is forced forward by the action.
On most pistols, as you fire the weapon, you move your finger forward with the trigger to put the trigger into the ready-to-fire position. On these, the gun does this as it fires, and it slaps your finger forward with the trigger.
It's not noticable on some guns, but the CZ52 has a wide tigger with a sharp edge on the trigger, and the trigger slap seems more noticable.

And this REALLY shows it http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?t=32298
I don't remember it being worse than most my other pistols, so it can't be that bad.
I think mine is just worse than most. I'll be looking into what I can do to make it better.
Bummer, it doesn't look like it wasn't the ammo on my CZ. It just refuses to shoot a tight group.
