I got my Remington 870 shotgun for my bday this october, and i am customizing it to look somewhat like a SWAT shotgun.

This is what it looks like so far..

I added: ATI pistolgrip stock
TacStar pistolgrip forend
HI-VIZ sight

and i want to add an mag extension to make it 8 rounds instead 4.

What do you think??

I use the same buttstock for non tactical reasons, because it gives better aim and support when firing high recoil slugs, and keeps my thumb from bashing my cheek.

For mag extensions, the Tac Star one I have on an 1100 has fed perfectly but is a bit off centered. Try Choate instead. Or if you can get one, a Remington factory one, though they only go up to 7 shot, and the current model is only 6.

My personal taste would be, if you're using twin grips, to have them matching. I'd have used an ATI foregrip. But that's just me.

870

I could not get the pic link to work.
Anyone know why?
In general you cannot go wrong with an 870 in any variation or preference.
Thats of course assuming the shooter is practised in its use.
I have a 20 ga short stock and barrel youth version I keep in the house.
They laugh at me when I trap shoot with it untill I do as well or better than they do.
No matter what configuration yours is be sure to practise with it so you will be ready when its really needed.
The 870 is a great choice.

It looks good. Only thing I'd change is the barrel-maybe an 18" with rifle sights would really snazz it up. Outside of that, have fun with it!!
