I now have a Model-25 22 caliber rifle that belonged to
my grandfather. It is in good condition.
Could anyone give me info about it?
Date made, good shoooter?, collectable?, value?
The Savage Model 25 (1925) replaced the Savage 1914 and was replaced by the Model 29 (1929). Blue Books shows around 36,000 made. I don't know if that is correct or not. Price is very dependant on what "good " is. Should bring $100, if all there, for parts. Top end $300 excellent condition. Most in the $200 range.
Thanks , Rick, for the great information.
I may keep it, but if I were to sell it, does
anyone have suggestions for getting the best
price? A gun shop, particular publications, or
a place on the internet?
thanks
