Need Info on a Savage Model-25

I now have a Model-25 22 caliber rifle that belonged to
my grandfather. It is in good condition.
Could anyone give me info about it?
Date made, good shoooter?, collectable?, value?

I may keep it, but if I were to sell it, does
anyone have suggestions for getting the best
price? A gun shop, particular publications, or
a place on the internet?
