At the last gun show in town, some guy was promoting new California-legal versions of AR15s: 10-round magazine welded in place, refillable via stripper clip after unhinging the upper and pivoting it forward to reach the mag. With just 10 rounds allowed with a semi having a pistol grip, the clip didn't protrude beyond the magazine well. Asking price: $895.

In CQB, it might be better to have an M1 Carbine in CA, ha, ha.

Sounds like it would be too much work to shoot the thing. I know I wouldn't waste my time and money with such a rifle. But I guess that's the price to pay to have a little fun in California. I'll never live there.

I've seen this and thought it was a 5 round internal mag

It just seems to me it would be easier to move....anywhere.
