Wife works in a magazine/book store so I ocassionllay get the latest gun rags for cheap. I was thumbing through the Feb issue of Shooting Times and ran across an add for the 223 WSSM. (Winchester Super Short Magnum)Wow! what an odd little duck! sopposed to be approx 200 fps faster than the 22-250. They also have the 243 WSSM 200 fps faster than the 243.

We just need someone to buy the rifle and let us know how it shoots. Any one have any cash left after Christmas?

I wonder about the real advantage of these loads - that yote or P-dog won't notice the extra 200 FPS.

Too little return for the investment - methinks? ;)

They claim... I repeat THEY claim. better accuracy potential as one of the side benifits of the cartrige. Short, fat, BR types. Unfortunately it wasn't a write up, just an add. I'll keep looking for more info.

I'll check out the Winchester site and see what I can find. Sounds interesting.
