Looks like a Remington/Beals of some type. Could we get pictures of the markings?

That depends on markings and other pictures you can give us. And the caliber. There has to be something on it.
It could be one of four different variants Beals Navy ranging from $100 to $1500, depending on condition.
It could be one of four variants of Beals Army ranging from $200 to close to $2000.
It could be one of about five variants of the Elliot's Patent of 1861 ranging from $900 to $4000
It could be one of six iterations of the New Army and five iterations of New Navy ranging from $600 to $5000.
It could be one of the licensed ELG and/or Nagant Remington copies from Belgium, and those run anywhere from $700 to $2000
It could be a Belgian knockoff, and depending on WHO made it, it could be worth between $50 and $1000
It could be an Iberian copy worth anywhere from $50 to $300.
It could be a modern Italian clone that has been defarbed and/or neglected, worth about $25 to $50, or up to $200 in a shady pawn shop.
Without better pictures, I can't really narrow it down.

Unlikely. All the ones I have seen were nickle or pot metal and they corrode differently.
