Got an almost free crossbow for $20 at a pawn shop
because the windlass strings were broken...
So it's a Barnett Quad 400...
Downside...Barnett customer service is dang near Useless.
Sent them an email asking how to replace the windlass strings...
they waited 3 months to respond...
finally telling me that the replacement spool was $32...
which was GREAT info...however, it's NOT on their website!!
And they didn't include a Part Number in the email...
so I STILL don't have a flippin clue on how to get one...
Thanks Barnett...

The other is a PSE Viper SS handheld crossbow with flip-cocker.
Got it for free with Bass Pro Shop cards courtesy of Choice Hotels.
Fun little bow! I shoulda got the Zombie Version, as it has
a wrist quiver & red dot site...but that's OK, I can upgrade
as I go...think I've got a Red Dot style crossbow site around
here somewhere anyway...
It can also be upgraded from 50# to 80# by swapping out
the Viper bow with a Redbone bow...5 minute swap.
The included plastic arrows are great for sighting in and
general target practice...upgrade to Aluminium for
hunting with Broadheads :)

That Barnett dont look like a bad Crossbow. They have all the parts on Amazon where I was just looking at them. I Have one Barnett and one is a bear crossbow. I had a Horton but sold it. The PSE are nice crossbows also.

What do you think about the Ravin R15? I like it a lot. Bought it after reading a review here and loving it so far.
I was looking at the Crossbows this morning. I was at Bass Pro looking at the new line of them. I already have two though. They had plenty of crossbow accessories too.
