i wonder how much it would cost to get one nickle plated. or crome diped.or is there a way to get gold leaf to stay on there you know like a good coating to put over it . i bet gold leafing a ak47 would look killer.you would have to take the cheap wayout and spaypaint the barrel gold with some heat paint .but it might come out pretty cool.
My friend spent $400.00 to get his to look like that. You should see all the
old timers, frown :fuss: and !!!!! when he brings it to the range!!!! My
friends is a PolyTech......I'll ask him to get me the guy's info and send it
to anyone intrested. I live in Houston Texas and I've asked the guy at
GlobalTrades if he could do it and he said he could, but didn't give me a price.
You could spraypaint it with good gold paint, and then buff it with Testor's gold metalizer, and it would come out looking deeper than a gold plated finish. Be a darn sight cheaper too, I'd think. And more reverislbe. I've used metalizer on models before, and if you do it right, it looks like solid metal, where plating looks like just that- plating.
