Congratulations, have fun, and give those white bass hell.
We are in South central New Mexico. Butte is now my home lake. When I was in Los Alamos, Abique was my home lake.Congrats. Looked at that exact boat the last couple times at both Bass Pro and Cabelas. The beauty of that boat is that it runs pretty shallow but will carry well over 1,000 pounds of people and stuff, Rated for 7 people, although that would be quite crowded. Th 60 hp will zip you around compared to the pontoon boat. Wife is opposed to one at my age and health, but that is exactly why I need one, lol.
What lakes do you fish? I know you are in northern NM, only place there I have been is Navajoe Lake.
At night I anchor and use minnows. Since I will put a trolling motor on this boat I use the trolling motor to use slabs when I can find the white bass schooling.Nice. I am planning on keeping my 16" Lowe Roughneck to last me out. Boats have been getting ridiculous on cost . Also the regulations the DNR here put on recreational guys is not worth the gas you burn. I am sure you will enjoy that boat for sure and get you on your fishing holes quick. You drift fish, anchor or troll for the White Bass?
