The upper barrel sear went bad on my son’s Winchester select energy right in the middle of trap practice. I have looked for a local gunsmith who could work on it but most don’t want to touch Winchesters because it’s so hard to get parts. I spoke with my closest authorized Winchester repair smith and they told me that they haven’t gotten any parts in over 6 months so they really can’t help me for several months. One local gunsmith thought that “maybe” the sear from a Winchester 101 would be interchangeable and that those were more widely available. Does anyone have a more definite answer?
