I love me some good fried catfish! Have never had pike so I can not comment on them.

Fishing in Canada several years ago, we caught Walleye and pike. The Walleye was the best and had many shore lunches to keep the limit correct. The pike on the other hand, which has a lot of bones and needs to be fileted correctly. Most of the pike were made into a fish soup. Awesome, and quite the fighters.

Yes. I’ve filleted so many over the years, I get them out easily now.

I worked on a Power Plant in Texas in 81 and 82. Parked our travel trailer at a private lot directly on the Brazos River. We caught and ate so many Blue Channel catfish and learned the Texas way to fry fish. Love catfish and most fish.
