I think a 3 inch barreled S & W model 65 is the perfect all around sidearm. Small enough for concealment and powerful enough for rabid pit
bulls (I am not saying pit bulls are rabid, I'm just saying if I ever felt threatened by one it ain't gonna shrug off a .357 magnum hollowpoint) Jack of all trades and master of none.
If you're only going to have one...This isn't a bad choice.

I agree fully. The K-frame S&W .357 Mag. is an underappreciated firearm. I personally like the S&W 686 and the Ruger GP-100.

funny about the pitbull referance last weekend a cop had to shoot a pit to protect himself and other officers shot it 3 times twice in the chest with a 40 S&W other officer een it did not slow the dog down gave it 3 quik ones with a 12 GA slowed the dog backward I guess the 357 with HP`s is what the dog realy needed

I found this thread in the archive of the now defunct Revolver sub-forum. Logansdad, you still have that model 65 S&W?
