PHP MV 12 Pistol; Croatian First Pistol

Discussion in 'General Military' started by K75RT, Oct 10, 2010.

  1. Picked up my new Croatian PHP MV 17 from my dealer; SOG dropped the ball on the second mag but it is in the works... This is a rare Croatian made pistol in 9X19mm; Made during the Croatian War 1991 to 1994, this pistol is made by the firm that ultimately makes the XD line of pistols today. The pistol is a marrying of the Walther P-38 and the Beretta 92. The trigger system is decidedly P-38 whereas the recoil spring is a single spring like the Beretta. This pistol is all steel and vet well finished.

I've been watching these in the SOG catalog. Let me know how it shoots?

Frankenpistol.....what an ugly gun. This makes the Broomhandle Mauser look really good. But, I bet it shoots ok. Just my opinion.

Not a bad buy if you can get parts to support them.
