400 bucks +shipping for the whole thing.
    i started adding it up.
so far to buy this stuff new $1182 but i am not done adding yet.

1st you should pay dues to g&g you wouldnt BELIEVE the fun we have in the paying members only forums!:09:

i already spent my rent money on ZOMBIE STRIPPERS if you got anymore ideas I'm all ears!

i was never going to buy one of these because they cost too much.
and then i stumbled onto a good deal.....
i will have 7 or 8 sets of dies and plates etc. that i dont own the firearms for.

    oh yeah ,
    it's a dillon rl550 b

i spend too much time loading 45 long colt and 357mag/38spl.

carefully weighing charges and everything else is great for precision rifle loads but it is too time consuming for pistol when i can burn through a few hundred rounds in an afternoon of shooting.

Man, I hate to "one-up" ya, but look what I got in the mail yesterday. A friend of mine was getting out of the reloading hobby and he gave me the two dillon 550's on top of the bench and all the brass that is scattered around on top of the bench. Pretty cool, huh. It came UPS to my work and it looked like Christmas in my office!

    Dillon RL550 press
    auto powder measure
    auto primer alarm
4 primer tubes and extra parts
    .38 dies
    .357 dies
    .45 acp dies
    30/06 dies
    .308 dies
    .30 carbine dies
    .44 mag dies
    .32 S&W Dies
    9mm dies
    .223 dies
    7.62X39 dies
    .380 ACP dies
    13 die stands
    13 tool heads
trays, bolts, wrenchs, Cover for press,
2 handles for press. Instruction manual.

    13 die tool heads

    i already have
    303 brit

    45 long colt
    454 casull
    dies

to buy new this would cost (gasp!) $1593
no wonder i dismissed the dillon products out of hand as too expensive!

all those dies and plates and crap add up in a hurry!

    p.s.
those prices are from the dillon site.

too bad i dont have any friends that give away 1000's of dollars worth of equipment!

Billy that is extremely cool. I'm wanting your tool head stands! I just won't give what dillon wants for a molded piece of plastic and and aluminum shaft. These 550's I just received have just been refurbished by Dillon, if you look closely, you can still the tag hanging off of one of the powder drops, and the other refurbish tag from Dillon is inside the other powder measure. I'm going to build an island type bench to mount these two on.

Are any of the dies that you got, Dillon Dies?

as president i would make it a 4 10 hours a day work week with Mondays off for shooting.
reinstate the death penalty in every state.
and put electrified barbed wire around San Fransisco.
    to keep the nuts IN.

  16. Well hell Billy, I'm glad I passed it up then. Had I not, it wouldn't be there for you to be getting. lol From the pics mooseman posted, looks like all some of it needs is a good cleaning. Congrats.

  18. Well I'm glad someone can use it. I felt bad but I'm not really a big fan of Dillon. Not that their products are bad or anything, I just don't like paying more for stuff just so they can pay those classy chicks to pose in there books. I mean they're hot and pretty and all, but it isn't what makes me buy or pay a little more for something. lol

  20. Oh yea, used, I don't blame you. I wish I liked Dillon. But also, another reason, and please correct me if I'm wrong, you can only buy Dillon products from Dillon?

And an example is, a 3 die carbide set from Dillon in .45ACP is $58.95. In Hornady, their new 3 die set, carbide also, is $55.35. But with them and I can buy the set elsewhere, and in fact, I'm getting them for $39.99 I believe.

I'm glad it worked out for you seriously. I mean I have the funds for all the stuff I'm getting from selling that car I had. So if me choosing to do that, means you or someone else can afford that, then great, I'm truly glad I let it go.

And if I were you, I would paint it red, that baby blue or sky blue is just a little to warm and fuzzy for reloading equipment. lol

And I checked Bass Pro Shop today, and asked about reloading stuff. One guy commented it might not be as available or as cheap as it use to be. So what the fluck is going on I'm unaware of? You know anything? SwedeSteve mentioned something about powders and primers going bye-bye also.

I mean, is it gonna get that scarce and or expensive to reload now also?
