I'd probably get one in either.300 BO or 5.56 NATO

Actually, I was surprised to learn that 8mm Kurz is actually still made and used. I will need to look it up again, but my gut feel is that it might be a fair intermediate round somewhere in between 300BO and 350 Legend, being closer to the former for the most part. Same bolt face as 308 Win, 458 SOCOM, and 450BM.
