Hey all, long time no see..
I just recently bought a sportbike so I hate to admit I haven't shot much lately, it's a shame! Anyway I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on that topic for me.
I have a sportbike which has no storage room.. I currently do not have my ccw but may get it soon. Can I legally transport my handgun in a backpack if I buy ammo at the range? I will assume it would be illegal to carry in my waistband unloaded. Is the above was permissible, is there any way , say if I had the gun locked and ammo in a different pouch in the backpack, that I could get my gun and ammo to the range on my bike? Reason being the closest range is 30 miles away and at 12mpg in my jeep, I'd rather take my bike at 40 or 50 mpg , especially if I'm going often again.
And lastly, another assumption , but I'd imagine it's perfectly legal to carry concealed while riding, provided I have my license.
This is in Ohio by the way! Thanks in advance for any help.. worst case scenario I can always call the police dept but usually I get the run around and end up with a sheriff because nobody else can answer my question.
