Am I the only one who thinks they're missing something great by not offering this?

The 450 marlin fits in the same guns that the 300 WSM will (namely the AR-10 when rebarreled) and has the same base as it and the 350 Rem Mag. I've tended to think the 450 Marlin should be considered a short magnum, but its use in a lever gun lean us away from that impression. It even has a belted case.

This is the Rem 673, offered in 300 WSM and 350 Rem Mag. Wouldn't it be just perfect to do it in 450 Marlin?

Seems to me that the 350 Rem mag outperforms the 450 marlin at any realistic hunting range. So, I would not be that interested in it. I am very interested in the 673 in the 350 Rem Mag though. I drolled all over one the other day at the range!

Great concept, but I'll keep my Guide gun for faster handling and follow-up shots. I took my best buck with the Guide Gun, and he was running like Hell. I was grateful for the quicker cycling action, When I did connect, one shot from that .450 shut off that buck's lights like a switch. Great round, interesting idea in the bolt gun!

I'm sure my lever action day will come. I personally am not too good at cycling a lever action (probably due to inexperience for not having one) and am pretty fast with a bolt gun. Not as fast as a good man with a lever, but faster than I would be with a lever most likely.
