I have in my possession a Remington 511 Scoremaster. I am in search of finding the production date information. The letters stamped on the left side of the barrel are P 77. Any help in this search would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some Remington reference sites... they all refer to a three "letter" code, as opposed to the P77 sequence you mention. Is there a chance that the "77" could be "TT" ? close-up photographs may be of benefit if you have that ability.
