Hello All.
Being tired of seeing my father's frustration with his jamming 597 Mag, I decided to work on it. I had written Remington twice with no response. So I had to wing it. Really simple fix for the mags failure to advance the rounds: take it apart, polish the guide rails that the follower rides in/on. After that assemble it dry and you should see much better performance. Pop still only loads it to 8 rounds, that also seems to limit the failures. When it shoots that rifle has great accuracy. I have a heck of a time trying to out score him with my K10/22.
Happy plinking.
