Im looking at buying the new 750, but I had a couple of concerns with it and I cant find anybody who actually has one. My dad had the old 7400 and it was a piece of junk. You couldnt get it too hit a paper plate consistently at a hundred yards. From what I read this seems to be the case with most of them. I really like the feel of the new ones though, they sholder nice and feel good in the hand. I was thinking about one in the .308 with maybe the 18.5 inch barrel. How much velocity would I lose? Would it be negilble? Has the accuaracy improved? Give me your thoughts on the gun. Im a big BAR fan, I just like the new 750 better. Thanks guys

The main problem with the 7400 series was the bolt lugs wearing into the receiver when the carrier hit its rearmost point. If a recoil buffer can be bought or made, that would greatly reduce that problem. I think it would also help if the gun was already worn because it would change the point at which the bolt carrier stopped.
