in .35 remington. I'm sure you guys (especially the older ones) know about this one so tell me more - would you consider it ? When were they made ? How is it different from the 7600 ? Are they accurate ? I was toying with the idea of a pump rifle. I found this article: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BQY/is_5_50/ai_114283922
but looking for some first-hand experience from some G&Gers. Would around $300 be a good price for one in good condition made in the 40s ? If you got one would you use it or keep it as a collectors item ? are they easy or hard to put a scope on ? etc. etc. thanks :)

hmmm...okay DANA. The 7600 can handle a much more powerful cartridge I guess. The problem is that I can get this much cheaper since it's C&R but the 7600 would cost dearly in transfer/state fees - maybe I'll wait until a used one comes along locally for a sub 500 price tag (but I doubt that - dealers around here usually ask atrocious prices which is why the C&R helps). thanks.

Ok. You just added something else to the mix. There is nothing wrong with the 141. The ammo was made for the Remington Mod 8 in 1906. Therefore the 141 being the third in the Remington series Mod8 Mod14 Mod141 and Mod81. I have a 35Rem in the 760 and Mod81

I discovered tang sights

Got a Marble's used tang peep sight off ebay & soaked in WD-40 for a day. nice & squeak-free now. Expensive but cheaper than a scope. You older guys are gonna laugh but I love tang sights - so convenient and they fold down out of the way. And I get to make like those old western dudes. Going to test this baby at the range tomorrow :loveydove

I think most were made by Marble altho winchester made some. I have a number of older guns with Marble tang sights. Work very well. Everyone should try a tang sight firearm at least once. Actualy makes the first ghost sight effect
