Well I went and did some tradeing and ended up with one of those Re-poped trench guns.
    2 3/4 only
It is supposed to take the mini shells also. I will have to try that
Seems kinda crunchy but it's Brand new in the box so I Imagine it will wear in after a while.
    Beautyful wood(walnut)
    Great blueing job
    Feels like good steel.
I dont have as much in to it as what they wanted (Trade)
They seem rather expensive at 360.00 a whack (retail)
    Good lookin shotgun

    Those Dang Chinese

Never heard of it, could you tell us more about it, like where it comes from, what it looks like, and what features it has?

Well, it is made in China Probably in Hongkong by some Brit /Chinese gunmaker. seems to nice to be from there.
It is a Model of 1897 Winchester pump action repeating shotgun.
Not a model 96 (My Bad)
The Box says Norinco, that doesn't mean much since that is the catch all "state" arms company for ALL of China.
The number on the box is M97TW
    (Modle 1897 trench weapon)
It has beautyful walnut stock the wood to metal fit is superb
    (like a Browning)
It has a flameing ball with ( U.S. )underneath on the side of the reciever.
It has a full length perforated heat shield with a bayonet lug in the front.
    Brass bead front sight
    Exposed hammer in the back
    All brand New manufacture
    thick heavy barrel
    Short, "fighting" length.
Now I gotta get a Bayonet for it.

What kind of bayonet? I'm interested (of course I already have a 590 with an M9)

  5. How cool, China is going after the Cowboy Action crowd. Reproductions qualify for compitition shooting.
Keep your right hand low and back when you cock it.

Well it Takes the P17 Enfield Bayonet, or it did.
I did some measuring and was able to file down the lug to the correct dimensions for the 1903 bayonet (03a3-M1 garand)
Now I can use all my M1 Garand Bayonets on the shotgun!
I prices the original bayonets and could not find one for less than 150 bucks, soooooooooo Now I dont have to worry about it.
I would never have dreamed of modifying an original piece but since this is a repop................. I sleep well at night
I am going to shoot it today
    I will let ya know

    WHOO HOO
That a cool thing. Shooting skeet with Bayonet attached
    Priceless.
I didnt have ANY hangups it will fire if the trigger is held down and the action in cycled. You can shoot it VERY fast
Anybody know How to take down the thing to clean it?
I know a lot about a lot but I dont know how to do that.
