are you pulling back slightly on the bolt handle while depresing the trigger guard latch?
Ruger 10/22 slide release problem
Hi!
I have a standard LR 10/22 that has a problem from right out of the box. I didn't know at the time if it was me but I've come to realize it ain't! The bolt slide won't release when I depress the trigger guard latch. It seems to have a mind of its own, generally I have to pull the magazine out before I can get it to close?????Most of the time I have no idea what I do to get it to close!!!Do I have to return it to the factory, or can you give me some hint how to fix this??

i was just thinking if this wasn't a terminology thing. couldn't have begged to differ better myself. good luck on the eval. wouldn't think it would be any thing big.
