I have MarkII and a Mini14. Both say, "Made in the 200th year of American Liberty" on their respective receivers. OK, this was the year I was born.. My Modern Gun Values book lists the Mini14 as having a higher value than other pre-ban Mini's due to the significance of the statement written on the receiver. It doesn't say anything about the MarkII though...... Any ideas why. Were these a limited production or did Ruger stamp all of their 1976 productions with this phrase?

As far as I've been able to determine all the guns they made in 1976 were stamped with the 200th year logo. I know of no sub-groups or limited editions so marked.

I checked the books at the gun shop and your MKII is worth $275 in 100% condition (unfired in factory box) It didn't give a seperate value for the markings just listed it as the 1976 production run.
