Russian capture 98

    Just finished puting together my Russian capture 98 from Empire after stripping the stock and refinishing, had to get rid of the red stain. It is a 1944 mauser. WOW what a gun, very please would do busness with Empire in a NYM.:D

    Dennis Kroh at Empire is first class all the way. I got a 1941 Sauer and Son, and I also stripped the Russian red shellac and was very pleasantly surprised by the condition of the stock, the bore is mirror also. I will have to post some pics as well.

    My shooting buddy has one on order. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to his Czech Vz24 and my Yugo M48A.

    The top is the Russian capture which is a CE 41 (Sauer and Son),
    The middle is a byf 43 (Mauser Obendorf)
    The bottom is the M48A Yugo
