I've seen Saigas in 223 advertised for $279 dealer price, and wonder if they're any good. One important factor to me would be the rifling twist, must be 1:9 or tighter. Its use would be for marksmanship, competing with AR type rifles. I've heard that the Saigas are very accurate, but are they THAT accurate?
And in what competitions would it be usable?

Two years later, BattleRifle got a Saiga 223 used for $200, and knows that the twist is metric but close to 1:9. Previous owner claimed 1.5 MOA with red dot scope.

There were no .223's at the gunshow...only 7.62x39 and .308
