I have a model 111 chambered in .308 and I'm trying to figure out if anyone sells a heavy target barrel to replace the current barrel. Also does anyone know if the Choate "Ultimate Sniper" stock designed for the 10FP models would work with my 111? Any custom mods to make for it to drop in?
I would like to hear that it can be done without too much modification to the stock before I buy it...

Whoops, sorry bout mistake, just double checked the box it came in and ur right, its a model 11FXP3(The package that came wit the simmons 3-9x 40mm scope).

Right now my instinct is to sell it and buy the 10FP with the Choate stock and 20" barrel since it has everything i want plus the new accutrigger. Id like to have both but I got money problems right now. Its so well balanced for hunting but that only comes couple times a year...

20" is my preference...easier to control for me. However I have decided to leave the rifle the way it is and save for a PTR-91 instead. For the original purpose in which i bought it for, it works perfectly. Therefore I decided that the next target rifle I get would be nice to have in semi auto and the PTR is one that I have had my eye on for a little while. Still thinking bout changing the stock in the future but not thinking bout trading it in anymore.

I change my mind weekly tho so stay tuned next week when I think up something else

Well it will be about 1 month before I have the needed money for the PTR so range report is gonna be awhile.

Thanks for the info dave, and I planned on buying a Springfield armory scope(maybe something like 6-20x) and throwing the simmons on my 10/22, for all purposes the simmons on my 17HMR works perfectly and have yet to have any probs wit it, tho the 17 has no kick compared to the 308. If i had the money id buy a nice nightforce scope but $1500 is hard for me to part with for a single scope on a $400 gun.

Right now im trying to make space in my house to set up the new reloading kit that I bought, but it is just about impossible atm...
