I have an old, much used, 99EG that I picked up used last year. I was very pleased with the accuracy from the bench but can't shoot well at all standing because of the terrible trigger. Several people, including a gunsmith, told me that you can't do much to improve them. Yesterday at a gun show where I was going to sell it, 2 people told me it is very simple to adjust. I am no gunsmith, and on the rare occassion when I do get into the inner workings of a firearm, I frequently require assistance to get it together again. Is there anywhere on the webb where I can find very simple, very detailed instructions? Is this something a novice should try? There are no good gunsmiths in less than an hours drive, and the few that are still working have such a backlog that you wait for months.
