this is my first year to pistol hunt, I got a Ruger BH Bisley .45 colt with 7 1/2" bbl. I been using open sights, thursday I nailed me a big #300 plus boar at about 40 yards, but I got lots of oppurtunities at up to 100 yds. I need some advice on a scope, I use Buffalo Bore ammo so lots of recoil and I want to get the right scope (eye relief, 2X, 4X ??) I kill lots of hogs with a rifle cause we are overrun with them down here, but a pistol is one helluve challenge.

Burris and Weaver make good scopes for the money as well as the Leupolds.

I vote Leupold...I had 2 of them on different Contender barrels and in competition shot 100 out of 100 at 150 meter silhouettes. They were rock solid, and stood the recoil without any problems. They never fogged during bad weather either.
