For the SKS, a red dot scope is adequate. You can pick up a pretty good one for about $30 through Centerfire Systems. Their number is 1-800-950-1231. I've got one of their red dots on a Chinese SKS, and it works fine. All it is is a red dot that is projected inside the scope. Put the dot on the target, and let 'er rip!! Pretty simple, and practical for shooting paper!! HTH
