I picked up a deal on 7 Lee dies, and a bunch of extras to go with them for $50 this past weekend.

5 of the dies are new in box and 2 of them are lightly used.
    • 9mm (used)
    • .380 (used)
    • .270Win (NIB)
    • 45 Colt (NIB)
    • 45 ACP (NIB)
    • 38 Spl (NIB)
    • 7.65x53 Mauser (NIB)
There were 1000, .380 (100 gr) and 250 9mm (115 gr) Berry's bullets included with the deal. He also threw in 100 pieces of starline .380 new brass, as well as another 100 once fired .380 and 9mm brass.

I'm hoping that I can sell the duplicate dies of what I already have to the guys at work, and get enough money back to make it a break even.

I haven't loaded .380 or 9mm, and actually bought it all to get those two dies, brass and bullets. I've spent most of my time loading, 40S&W, 5.56, 45/70 Gov't, and 45 ACP, but with ammo shortages and cost going up, I thought I'd venture into a couple of the smaller calibers.

Good point about buying a gun to match the dies. I wonder why I didn't think of that, or if my wife would go for that excuse? (she's actually very tolerant of my purchases, as long as she gets a new gun once in a while too)

One of the guys at work bought the 270 Win die set for $20, so I've made a dent in the investment already.

Gun owners are a crafty bunch. I've done similar with guns and other things. As best I can recall, it started when CD's came out. I wanted a player but didn't have the money then. I did have enough to buy a CD. So I did. And another. And another. After a while, it just made no sense to have all these CD's and nothing to play them on.

  11. I have a set of RCBS 7mmSTW dies I bought when I was in school in 1995...have a P-14 action and a barrel....never finished the project...really no need to at this point...should probably sell as parts pieces and components
