Everyone needs to be ready for anything to happen....BE CAREFULL..!!!!

  3. Weve had so many Tornado Watches, Warnings and Tornado's in Arkansas I'm ready for this chit to go away !!!
At least our water tables should be running over form all the heavy rains.
It gets mildly depressing when your haveing so much bad weather.

Thanks for the tip, mitch. We don't get tornadoes around here, but there's a nuclear power plant due west of us that I keep an eye and ear on. It's a major reason I got into survival kits. Having this alert service will be a big help.

  7. Madison, Wisconsin is about to get hit .... lots of Tornado Warnings in the area now. I live just east by about 35 minutes... I may have to bug-out for a little while...

We're in a Tornado Watch now... but I fear will soon be a Warning.

****, I hate these things. I'll take a Hurricane any day...

Larry, growing up in Oklahoma, I know a thing or two about bad weather, especially tornados! My advise to you is to remain calm and keep an eye to the sky. I love thunderstorms. I sleep like a baby.:)

  9. Watching the sky now... supposedly there is one headed this way... may be here pretty soon. I think we may have a natural "disturbance" in a good hill before us (in the path) ... so, hopefully...

I've seen 3 in my life. They are amazing but scary as hell.

  12. so far, so good. Temp dropped 22 degrees in a heartbeat... so far, 1.5" of rain. Not out of the woods yet... more nasty juju all night to come...

  13. The temp drop might hep shew'em away. We need rain.

I've never seen the weather like it is now in So. Arkansas.

It's Hot and very breezy...It was windy practicly everyday during the later part of winter.

Whats weird the wind hasn't stopped yet here. The wind and heat drys everything out.
If you want a quick tan, come on down, you'll sure get it.

It's erie at night time to listen to the wind when it never use to be this way.

I live in the eastern end of the Snake River plain, in eastern Idaho, and I'm telling you that we rarely have days that don't include wind...guess it helps to keep the air freshened up?

We too have been experiencing unusual weather: cold temps like we normally have in late March, April and early May happening in June, strong winds, and a generous amount a rain showers.

We still have a large snow pack in the surrounding mountains, so the extended cooler weather has helped to slow down the melt and reduce flooding potential.

Hope all of you in the paths of the coming storms can keep the hatch battened down and you and your family members safe...

  15. so far, so good. Got a little crazy there for a bit but we're alright...

    Thanks all...

Fully understand, been there and done that...glad to know they've got a safe place to take shelter in too.

When duty calls, you go; having made the best preparations you can for family...
