Thinking of getting some shotgun adapters to fit my NEF 20ga single shot.

What are the pros and cons of using these?

I know one pro would be to be able to shoot pistol/rifle calibers via your shotgun. I know one con being accuracy is minimal and better for short range use.

I could see getting an adapter to do something like, 20g to .410 gauge, but 20 gauge to a pistol caliber....

You might as well just use the right tool for the job. An actual handgun. :) At least then it will be accurate and you will be getting the proper ballistics out of the round.

A .22lr adapter would be fun to play with, maybe if it was really cheap I'd consider getting one. But like Tacav said an adapter to fire a smaller gauge shotshell would be interesting. Although the patterns would probably be very wide considering the much larger bore barrel

I have the adapters to fire 20ga. and .410's from my 12ga. and one to shoot .410 from my 20ga. but I have never heard of adapters to shoot centerfire or rimfire rounds out of a shotgun do they even make such a thing? The ones I have are called Little Skeeters.

12 gauge to .22 LR Rifled Pathfinder Series. Now this one looks pretty interesting to me, they have one in 9mm as well. It's an adapter that's 8" long and has rifling, so it may actually be fairly accurate. $100 ain't exactly cheap though considering I bought my 597 .22lr for $149 with a scope
