Just wanted to throw this out there, I've had one for a while and as far as budget night vision goes these offer a lot of bang for the buck and IMO are better than Gen 1 and close to basic gen 2 in overall performance.

I thought I'd put this under "Survival Gear" rather than in "Optics" as I see it more as a Prep than for Shooting in General.

While I think SiOnyx's normal retail pricing is a little proud for what they are I do feel that if you catch them on sale they are a good value for the money, and they are on sale at this time at $399 (regular $599 retail) for the Sport model, which is their basic offering.

Below is a link to their website (you can find the same price on Amazon etc), and to a Review I did on the Aurora Sport on YouTube. I've actually done several video's on the Aurora if you look at available videos in my channel. FWIW I don't recommend the higher models as I don't feel it's well suited as a weapons sight attachment etc at this time.

Oh and I'm not Advertising / affiliated / Compensated, just a bit of an NV Geek.

My Review:

My Channel if anyone's interested - I have a fair amount of NV related stuff in there and slowly adding more content: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAIWGWROnY1ORW4ZSuGopPA/videos?view_as=subscriber

I’m going to get some decent night vision at some point. My budget is limited though.
I will check out the sionyx . I have also thought about thermal monocular.
Also that was a good review on the monocular. Very detailed

Do you know if Sionyx is going to continue production of the Pro model? I got ready to buy it and then it was not available.
