Iam wanting to put a scope on my SKS. I've got a Leupold M8 scope which
is normal size scope. After mounting the scope,of course it's over the action.
I assume the ejected casing will hit the scope? Do they make a casing defector. My friend said they did.If anyone knows where to get one,let me
know.Or do I have to put a sm sks scope on it.I hate those small scopes...

SKS Shell Deflector, Easy to install shell deflector fits on our Leapers SKS Scope mount (SCP-250). Attaches to existing screws on the mount and prevents the ejected shells from hitting your scope. Clever design and may be added to you SKS rifle in just seconds. Constructed of blue steel.

Yes you can use a shell deflector OR you can use a compact scope. Thing is if you use the shell deflector and long scope you can't feed through strippers. Almost necessitates a detachable mag, which is a tired subject as you may be aware.
