I was thinking about buying a Butler Creek Stock from http://www.combatstocks.com/sks_stocks.cfm . Has anyone used this stock before? Would anyone recommend a different stock? Would it be more wise to leave my stock as is?
I personally like the feel of a skelaton buttstock. But I am not big on ATI's synthetic. Feels kind of cheap. Choate on the other hand I love. You migh want to check them out.
I also like the RamLines.
I have the Fiberforce Dragonov on one of mine and I really don't care for it. The molded check piece doesn't sit high enough for good scope alignment for me.
Has anyone ever noticed that no matter what stock you put on an SKS (with thaqt receiver shape, etc.) it still retains it's familiar and undeniable SKS look?
Yeah there's no getting around it. The only thing about the SKS I don't like is the huge blunt rear end of the reciever.
But hey, I'm not complaining-they are fun as all get out.
