I own several SKS's (type 56) and a Russian type 45. I want to put the 45 in a nice synthetic Monte Carlo or Sporter stock,,, but I keep getting conflicting info as to quality and fit. Can anyone here advice me to what is the best and best fit?
    Thanks Much,
    Gus

Those stocks look great! Remember each SKS receiver and mags are different. My advice would be to have a competent gunsmith fit it for you. I have zero problems with the stock I have on my Yugo.... Oh wait it is the original wood one that came with the rifle! :kinky:

Sorry just a purist at heart. I love my SKS just the way it came and not only does it look good but it shoots extremely well. The only change I am going to make on it is to have Kivaari do a trigger job on it. I have an awesome trigger already, No creep, not a hard pull and no travel, but with Kivaari's trigger work it will make it **** near perfect!

If I wasn't already married I would marry my SKS :silly:
