Tried 2 Taurus revolvers a Tracker and one of their snubbies. Both triggers seemed rather gritty...is this typical? Does it just need a good blast of compressed air to smooth out? What's the deal?
  2. I have had both good and bad experiences with their trigger pulls. Try them out. You will find a good one.

  3. I just got a 445 snubby with a trigger pull nearly as smooth as my 1967 Colt detective special. My Taurus 689 6" bbl is about equally as good.

So, I really do have to try before I buy. I'm glad I didn't just order one.

I think just abuot any revolver could use a trigger job. Factory has got to make those strong pulls...liability issue.

If you want an easier trigger pull, the easiest mod you can do is to replace the hammer spring. Check out www.gunsprings.com.
I personally haven't had any trouble with any of my Taurus' triggers, but have heard similar stories such as these. Hope it works out for you guys... :)
