    A few of you wanted to see the new and improved Kate. Well here she is. The old girl just ain't what she used to be!

    Black dress care or Ramline, hand guards ported
    New glasses: 4x16x40,IL,Mil Dot W/flip up front and accordion rear covers.
    Scope mount: Fulton Armory, rings by Millet
    Barrel VAR, new, Op-Rod NM, new
    Reciever, bolt, and trigger assy, 1944 Springfield
    Fed tray components, gas cyl,bolt guts, new OEM
    Sling: One hand adjustable Unicle Mike's

    Finish by Extreme Coat, Mil Spec dark gray.

    Now lets see how long it takes me to wear her out :)

    I never liked the aftermarket stuff on a Garand but I have to say I think I would like one if it looked like that. You have class as some of the aftermarket set-ups I seen were to barf on hehehehe. You actually have me thinking of building one and putting that stock on and hunting with it? Thanks for sharing,, Rick B

  5. Looks like something out of a modern day SWAT team unit. I like the color to it, it makes it stand out.

    what brand of mount did you use ,and did it hurt the finish at all.

    Fulton Armory sells two SK mounts. I used the one with the weaver rail, not the all in one with rings.

    After I made it fit. (ground the poggies out of it)I sent it off to Extreme Coat, to be matched to the rest of the rifle.

    I hurt the SK finsh by custom fitting it to my rear sight ears. Didn't phase the Extreme coat, even after I mounted/dismounted the mount 20-30 times while fitting.
